I just read your post on no hands but ours and I love your blog but haven’t commented until now!!

I had tears just thinking about the emotions running here and there!!
I say you take her! Tell her your taking her for a special 1st day of school muffin or something so she doesn’t get suspicious!! Sheri

Kelley, reading this made me tear up a little! I think you should take her (although I have no idea how you do what you do with a newborn!!) 🙂

Kelley, I have been out of the blogworld for a while since the arrival of Little Three (thank you for your sweet comment), so I just read your post. I was going to weigh in with my advice, but realized that it is already Monday morning and Caroline is already at school. I just sat here and prayed for the two of you…for that uncertain dance in which mothers of tweens and middle schoolers everywhere find themselves. It is the “Push Me Pull You” stage of life and one day she appears to want your advice and one day she does not. If you can set aside your own emotional upheaval (to a degree) and really listen to the precious Holy Spirit, I believe He will lead you to the true, right, and best way to daily love Caroline and yourself as her mother. Remember, He will not give you the manual; He will only lead you one day at a time. It is always His way. I like to see the future plan laid out in increments, but the Lord does not work that way. It is a moment by moment adventure with Him. Do not fear this. He is already carrying you on His that sweet covered spot on His back where the feathers are the softest!
